Are you interested in learning about electronics but are unsure where to start? Would you like to couple your love of art with simple electronic circuits? Could it be, perhaps, that you're worried about the robots and need to start learning their weaknesses?
You're in luck! SparkFun Electronics is offering a Lilypad Workshop. This workshop is an easy way to add light to any project as well as a great introduction to simple electrical circuits. You can add LEDs to your shirt, to your hat, your Halloween costume, your backpack, your biking helmet, your umbrella, your child's Halloween costume, your dog, Ok, maybe not your dog but you can add them to your dog's collar, or anything else you can imagine!
In this two hour class you will learn fundamental circuit creation and how to get the most out of your battery. Using Lilypad technology you will learn how to add up to 10 LEDs to your project as well as buttons and switches to control the LEDs. This is a great introductory class with the opportunity to work on a project that matters to you.
We will also provide you with some goodies. You will get 10 LilyPad LEDs, 2 LilyPad buttons, a slide switch, a coin cell battery holder, conductive thread, and basic tools. You will also get the finest instruction SparkFun has to offer on that particular time and date.
Also, this class is open to any age! However, children should be accompanied by an adult. Adults who are accompanying children do not need to enroll if they are there to observe and/or help.

does one get a lilypad with this class because the class description doesn't say if we actually get a lilypad or not and it would be useful to know, thanks
I'm guessing you mean the Lilypad Arduino board specifically. A number of Lilypad products are included in the class, but not an Arduino board- it's a beginner level class, so we'll be starting out with a simpler circuit. :)
okay thanks alot
