ProtoSnap - LilyPad E-Sewing Kit

Replacement:DEV-10964. The ProtoSnap E-Sewing Kit now includes a coin cell battery so you can start using it right out of the box! This page is for reference only.

The ProtoSnap series is a new way to prototype your project without a breadboard. Everything is wired together on a single board, which makes it easy to explore the possibilities of the components before snapping them apart and building them into your project.

The ProtoSnap E-Sewing Kit pairs a LilyPad coin cell breakout board with a switch, a button, and five LEDs. It comes pre-wired so you can plug in a battery and use the switch and button to turn the LEDs on and off. Once you’ve mastered using the board together, break off the individual components and use them just like you would with their normal LilyPad counterparts.

Presumably these things work ok? The LED forward drop is spec'd at 3.3-4.0V, but CR2032s supposedly deliver 3.0V most of the time.
Got a guess at approximate duration that the board will keep the LEDs lit at continuous discharge with a new battery?

Ordered a pair of the kits. Forward drop while illuminated is ~2.7V. Runs happily with a CR2032. Not the brightest LEDs in the world, but bright enough for my project. Obviously lit in room light, but not super-eyecatching. Undeniably visible at 5m in the dark.

The curly lines on the silkscreen are a nice touch.

If you click on the second photo thumbnail it looks like it's roughly about 5x5 cm.
