Unless I'm seeing wrong, you say "AVR 8 Pin 10MHz 2K 4A/D - ATtiny13" and then say it has 1K program space? Eh? And is it 10 or 20MHz max clock?
I know this is discontinued, but still... for those having some of them around, here's an example of how easy it is to use and how versatile...
uhm, about discontinued product, I just bought ATTiny 13A, with the same specs, the incarnation?
I just created a tutorial for programming these with an arduino (ISP).
As of 5-15, these are still ATTiny13, not the newer Tiny13A model.
As of April 24th, 2010 Sparkfun is still shipping the older ATTIny13 and not the ATTiny13A.
Is this the 13A component or the older 13?
Good question, because I see on the Atmel site it says the ATiny13 is "Not recommended for new designs."

Does this have the same pinout as the attiny 45?
By 45 I mean 85.
I believe it does but the Flash is 1K instead of 8K.

newbie here,
I want to control 4 RGB LEDs with a small microcontroller. Is it possible to do it with this one? I didn't understand from the description or the datasheet if this micro supports PWM outputs.

Hi Dimitris,
This micro has two PWM outputs by default, and it can drive up to 5 or 6 PWM using software PWM. However, each RGB LED will need 3 channels, bringing your total needed to 12 (4 x 3) outputs.
You might want to check out an attiny 2113 or atmega 328P (used in the recently updated Arduino Uno). Alternatively, you could get a TLC5940 16-channel LED driver, and interface with that via serial from a small micro like the attiny13 (here) or the attiny85.
