If it requires power, you need to know how much, what all the pins do, and how to hook it up. You may need to reference datasheets, schematics, and know the ins and outs of electronics.

Does anybody know how to implement these two-legged crystals in practical applications? I am coming up dry on any information on this. I have an IC that needs a clock, and I have this crystal. How do I get it to oscillate? My IC has one clock input terminal.
Can i use higher capacitance value than 20pF? I.e. 22pF as shown under "Related products"?
2pf is within the tolerance of the parts anyway. A 20pf could easily be a 22pf in fact. If this were a recipe it would call for a "smidgen of capacitance". Either way would work.
