Hello everyone and welcome back to another Friday Product Post here at SparkFun Electronics! This week, we have three new products for you to check out, and we start with the new SparkFun Qwiic Ultrasonic Distance Sensor. This ultra economical sensor can bring accurate and reliable ranging data to any Qwiic project. Following that we have two brand new Espressif boards to help with all of your wireless networking needs. Without further ado, let's jump in and take a closer look at all three new products for this week!
Super economical Qwiic Distance sensor!
The SparkFun Qwiic Ultrasonic Distance Sensor, a user-friendly upgrade to the popular HC-SR04 sensor, offers non-contact distance measurement from 2cm to 400cm with an accuracy of 3mm. This sensor is designed to seamlessly integrate with the Qwiic ecosystem for I2C communication, making it a breeze to add to your existing projects and daisy-chain with other Qwiic components.
The Espressif Thread Border Router is based on the combination of Espressif’s Wi-Fi and 802.15.4 SoCs, built on the ESP-IDF and open-source OpenThread stack. This solution has obtained the Thread 1.3 Certified Component Certificate issued by the Thread Group, complying with the latest Thread 1.3 standard, and supporting Matter application scenario. It supports all fundamental network features to build a Thread Border Router and integrates rich product level features.
A Sub-Ethernet daughter board which works with the ESP Thread Border Router board to extend an Ethernet interface. This allows you to use Ethernet with the fully featured Thread Border Router.
