In this video, SparkFun Educational Coordinator Lindz Craig guides you through using the PicoBoard and MIT's Scratch programming environment to explore the world of embedded electronics.
We hope you enjoy the video! Please feel free to leave any questions or comments below!
This is awesome. :-D
You should also really check out Tynker - pretty much Scratch in a browser.

it's a scratch variant that is in a bunch of schools already being used by children. I'm going to investigate if it can be hacked to talk to this board through some kind of bridge
Is scratch the direct result (extension) of Google App Inventor? I think it was handed off to MIT, and this looks pretty similar.
Can the Simon board be used as an input to Scratch? Since children might often be introduced to electronics through the Simon game as a soldering project and it has the programming header, it would be neat to repurpose the board as an analog/digital input/output for Scratch. Anyone know how to do this?
I haven't played around with it too much but you may be able to connect Simon to "Scratch 4 Arduino".
You can also look at Modkit and our Reprogramming Simon material.
You might be able to connect scratch through python to the hdl code using this library scratchpy
There wont be any streaming, but I'll be there taking plenty of video of the ceremony. Look for it in a few days.
