You thought we forgot but we didn't.

Whoa hey! Remember that one time we did a caption contest 10 days ago? You may have been thinking, "Self, I think SparkFun plumb forgot to announce the winner." Well, you're WRONG. It just took us this long to narrow it down. But narrow it down we have, and the Oscar for Best Caption goes to: Grey Wolf!

Personally I liked the white balance joke myself.

who picks these? I don't post very many captions, but I read a lot of them and there are many more a lot funnier than that.

The Sparrows could grasp the coconuts by the husk.

It's not a question of where he grips it! It's a simple question of weight ratios! A five ounce bird could not carry a one pound coconut

Listen, in order to maintain air-speed velocity, a sparrow needs to beat its wings 43 times every second, right?

What do you mean, an African or European Swallow?

          EDIT: also... http://style.org/unladenswallow/

Oh, yeah, an African swallow maybe, but not a European swallow, that's my point.

      he's using coconuts.

Ok, but how did the coconuts get here? They are not indigenous to Colorado. Surely you're not implying that they were brought here by small birds, such as Sparrows?

          Swallows. Definitely swallows. African swallows.
