Pete, are you aware that when you get a bit older you will look exactly like Col. Sanders?

Nate, what you guys have built since 2003 is honestly amazing, and is a testament to the growth of the "maker" community. Have you ever thought about partnering with investors if there was interest, as long as they did not jeopardize the integrity of what you guys do, in order to expand further?

What is the best thing you ever took apart?

With the "home" becoming a little more connected, major OS makers Apple and Android have started putting together frameworks to interact with hardware directly. Should we be looking forward to iOS programming tutorials that possibly interact with hardware? i.e.: Control home lighting/cleaning/locking doors with your iOS device? :)

    • Hey John, Arduino Manager is an iOS and android app that does exactly what your talking about...you can built your own customized app that interacts with your hardware projects and a lot of people use it for the new iBeacon protocol out for home automation. Check it out it's really sweet. Wifi, BLE, eithernet. It's a game changer.

    Hi Nate,

I am in the process of setting up my own business but I'm still fuzzy on the details of giving myself paychecks and setting up the day to day operations with taxes and whatnot. Do you have any advice that you wish someone had told you when you were starting out?

    • Sorry to butt in....but here in Ohio at least there is a massive state-wide initiative to fund and support budding entrepreneurs - especially in tech startups. I don't think many people know this....so you can go hunt down those people for help with these details and while you're at it....go ask for seed money.

  • Hey Nate! I'm Randy Robert, a mechanical engineer from Ohio and a HUGE fan of your work and SparkFun. My business partner Fabrizio Boco, from Italy, developed Arduino Manager, a customizable app that your users could use to connect their projects with their iOS, Android and Mac platforms. Would you be interested in maybe setting up a partnership with us?

Btw...you completely changed my career path....well you and OU patenting my electrosurgical instrument design then doing nothing with it....but either way kudos to you and your success...keep it up sir!

I am trying to connect several batteries in series with a MOSFET, controlled by a 5v microcontroller. Ultimately I would like use the MOSFETS to redirect power around a bad cell, but I am having trouble just getting the MOSFET to connect two batteries in series. Can you point me in the right direction?
