A little over a week ago, some representatives from SparkFun hopped on a plane to San Francisco for the Intel Developer Forum. While we were out there, Intel announced their newest creation - the Intel Edison computing platform.

Today we wanted to share some of our highlights from the trip:

  • I am not sure what kind of processing power that board has, but it would be cool if you cold develop a camera stack-able with an omnivision sensor and run opencv on the Edison. Then if you could make it works with the PWM block you could make some really cool robots.

      Depending on the image size/quality, you'd be better off going with something more dedicated with more processing power.
