Welcome back everyone! This week we have yet another round of new products and demos.
Conductive ink is pretty darn cool. It's worth picking up a pen for your next order even just to DRAW ELECTRICITY! But seriously, it's cool making circuits on paper.
A few weeks back we debuted the Circuit Scribe Lite Kit. If you're looking for more parts, you might be interested in the Maker Kit which includes a lot more parts as well as a handy instructional guide. With Circuit Scribe you can draw exactly what you want, no wires or breadboard required. You can build a circuit with nothing but a coin battery, paper clip, and LED, or build out complex circuits with multiple components. The Conductive Ink Pen included in this kit uses a non toxic, silver conductive ink that writes on any surface a regular roller ball pen would with a resistance of 2-10 Ohms/cm.
Well, if you don't want all the parts and just want a pen, we've got that too! The Circuit Scribe Conductive Ink Pen is a simple looking ball-point pen that allows you to draw circuits instead of soldering or wiring them to a breadboard. This is the same pen found in the kits.
Sometimes you need a long USB cable, but sometimes you don't. Many projects need just a short cable. This week we have two such cables. These 6" USB cables come in either a mini-B or micro-B connection, with a standard A connector on the other side.
I really like using 18650 cells in projects. They're high capacity, 3.7V, and easily rechargeable. But what if you want to embed power in your project? These 18650 cells are tabbed, meaning they have metal tabs that you can solder directly to, creating embedded power solutions. Connect them together for large banks, or embed them on boards, we won't judge.
Is the tip of your soldering iron gunky? Using some tip tinner/cleaner is the best way to get rid of the gunk and get a shiny tip that performs well. Just heat up your iron, poke the tip into the goo, and your tip is cleaned. It doesn't get much easier than that.

Me, too. The set is pretty bland. And the "I'm trapped in an empty shipping container" audio is sub-optimal as well. Just part of the joys of a new building, I guess. I presume we will see incremental improvement.
