Hello everyone and welcome to a very special Wednesday Product Post. We have several new products to show off today and it all starts with new versions of the NEO-M9N GPS Breakout and ESP32 WROOM Thing Plus. These new boards are very similar to their previous releases, but now include new connections based on your feedback. The NEO-M9N GPS Breakout comes with an SMA connector, while the ESP32 WROOM Thing Plus comes with a U.FL! Following that, we have the new PureThermal Mini Pro (with a FLIR Lepton 3.5!) and a new JST-ZHR Cable.

We're also near the end of our month of sales, with unique daily deals every week day from November 2-26. Tomorrow is the final day before we jump into our Black Friday and Cyber Monday sale extravaganza. Be sure to check out this blog post for details and to learn more! If you're curious when you'll need to get your order before the holidays, make sure to check out our Holiday Shipping 2020 page. Check back this Friday for even more deals from SparkFun!

Now, let's take a closer look at all of our new products!

The SparkFun NEO-M9N GPS Breakout is a high quality GPS board with equally impressive configuration options including SMA. The NEO-M9N module is a 92-channel u-blox M9 engine GNSS receiver, meaning it can receive signals from the GPS, GLONASS, Galileo, and BeiDou constellations with ~1.5 meter accuracy. This breakout supports concurrent reception of four GNSS, maximizes position accuracy in challenging conditions (increasing precision), and decreases lock time. Thanks to the onboard rechargeable battery, you'll have backup power, enabling the GPS to get a hot lock within seconds! Additionally, this u-blox receiver supports I2C (u-blox calls this Display Data Channel), which makes it perfect for the Qwiic compatibility so we don't have to use up our precious UART ports.

Don't be all doom and WROOM, this Thing Plus now has U.FL!

The SparkFun ESP32 Thing Plus with U.FL is the next step to get started with Espressif IoT ideations while still enjoying all the amenities of the original ESP32 Thing. Espressif's ESP32 WROOM is a powerful WiFi and Bluetooth MCU module that targets a wide variety of applications. At the core of this module is the ESP32-D0WDQ6 chip, which is designed to be both scalable and adaptive. To make the Thing Plus even easier to use, we've moved a few pins around to make the board Feather compatible, and it utilizes our handy Qwiic Connect System.

The new PureThermal Mini Pro JST-SR with Thermal by FLIR is a hackable thermal camera for the FLIR Lepton thermal imaging camera core. Just like its PureThermal 2 predecessor, it ships pre-configured to operate as a plug-and-play UVC 1.0 USB thermal webcam that will work with standard webcam and video apps on all major platforms using a JST-SR to USB Cable (or your own custom cable). For developers, its reference firmware and viewer software are open source.

This is a 5-pin JST-ZHR cable terminated with breadboard-compatible Dupont connectors. It's the same cable that comes with our SPS30 Particulate Matter Sensor.

That's it for this week! As always, we can't wait to see what you make! Shoot us a tweet @sparkfun, or let us know on Instagram or Facebook. We’d love to see what projects you’ve made! Please be safe out there, be kind to one another, and have a Happy Thanksgiving!

    Hey Rob,

Your comments about the location of your house kind of remind be of something from last millenium: it became "cool" to include in your ".sig" for UseNET your "ICBM Address", after there were some vicious "flame fests" and someone said (essentially)"I don't care about your flames -- you can even send an ICBM at me, and just to prove it, here's the address to send it to!"
