USB 2.0 type A to Micro-B 5-pin. This is a new, smaller connector for USB devices. Micro-B connectors are about half the height of mini USB. Micro-B is found on newer hand held devices like cell phones and portable media devices. Works great with the Google Nexus One. Cable color and shape may vary slightly from image as our stock rotates.

I used to buy my USB microB cables from Amazon.com when I had free shipping with Amazon Prime but now that I don't, I order these and I think they are comparable in quality and I've never had an issue with them breaking or not fitting the Arduino Leonardo, which is what I typically use them for. Great price for a great product, highly recommend.

The cable connected my laptop to my Arduino Leonardo and never missed a bit. Program transfer first time I tried it.

Greetings Bought 4 of these cables, two have failed within a week of going into service. Both had issues with the micro b end. One went intermittent, no sign visible damage, But seemed loose when mated and had lots of wiggle. The other physically broke loose internally but did not come out of the connector backshell. One cable used on an Asus T-100 transformer book. The next on a galaxy s4. No I don't try to abuse them and yes I'm a sixty something yo klutz. But I typically get a couple of years out of a cable that is used daily. My plan is to lop off the affecting appendage and replace it with new end. Going to try to do more thorough research on the replacement part.
It is workin fine.
The right cable for the logo matic ver 2 from spatkfun. Many thanks to spatkfuns great customer support. I buy items based on quality of your support. Cheers!
What can I say, it is a great cable and was just what I needed! 😋
Its been working great.
Connects to and operates my RPI Pico just fine - making progress rapidly!
Seems to be a quality product!
Are you planning on selling a SF branded one, like the Mini USB one?
Anyone use these with Raspberry Pi? Any of the fit issues?
Does this cable have a wire connected to the 5th pin on the micro USB plug side?
How thick is the cable? Could someone throw a caliper on them.
"4.15mm In diameter. It is a little squishy but generally pretty solid." -Sparkfun
Is there any plans for a red SparkFun MicroB 3.0 cable?
I ordered one to have an extra to use with teensy 3.1 Turns out it's the only one that stays plugged into my worn out phone. So the other one is with the teensy. To me it's a good, rugged USB cord, much better fit in any device I've used it on than the super cheepos that come with cell phones. I think I'll just order one every time I place a SFE order. My $0.02
I hope this will work well for Teensy 3.1.
I bought this cable with the LiPo Charger Basic (PRT-10217). I think that it's very difficult to plug and unplug the cable into the microUSB connector. I'm always afraid to snap off the connector from the breakout board.
Yep, I bought this to go with the old-school LiPo Charger/Booster (PRT-10300). Gave the device prototype to a user and the PRT-10300 connector was snapped off within 48 hrs. Too tight a fit.
Does anyone have a suggestion for a cable that will be a little less snug?
I have to report the same thing. The micro USB end on this is very tight when plugging into my phone and other devices. To the point where it actually doesn't work with some of my devices such as my Sansa Clip 2gig.
