Learn the basics about LEDs as well as some more advanced topics to help you calculate requirements for projects containing many LEDs.
Core Skill: Electrical Prototyping
If it requires power, you need to know how much, what all the pins do, and how to hook it up. You may need to reference datasheets, schematics, and know the ins and outs of electronics.
Skill Level: Rookie - You may be required to know a bit more about the component, such as orientation, or how to hook it up, in addition to power requirements. You will need to understand polarized components.

Just what I needed.
I want to add lights to some paper sculptures I'm working on, and this is a good assortment to start with. Enough to get me into some fun trouble!
Needed one, but having a full war-chest was worth it...
I only needed a 10mm green frosted LED, but I realized (when I looked in my kit of stuff), that I could use a bunch of them. I guess that last time I bought this size, I only wanted red. I don't know what the next guy/gal wants to do, but I also loved the 10mm chrome panel bezels.
As advertised...lots of fun!
I wanted some bright LEDS for a running vest I am making. The clear LEDS are very bright and will handle more than 20 ma, however they are pretty directional.
Great package and perfect for all my projects.
