I couldnt find a reliable source on how much current each wire within the ribbon cable can carry. Im using one lead to send +5V to another board. And a second lead for ground. The other leads will transmit varying levels of voltage back to a mainboard via pots. If you could please tell me the current carry load of this ribbon cable that would be appreciated. Also, once calculated, could you please post the data with the part on the site for others?
Thank you!
does sparkfun have an IDC styled cable that can plug into the middle of a larger header, aka a 2x5 put in the middle of a raspberry pi's header? i know others make them with the crimped socket on one end and snap in socket on the other, but i like shopping at sparkfun.
I know this cable is very old and my question is very specific, but it cannot hurt to ask. I am borrowing a friends LPC link that uses a JTAG connection. The LPC Link has a 10 pin connector on it (male). This is then supposed to go another 10 pin connector (male) that splits into the 20 pin for the JTAG. My question is...Does anyone know if this is the right size to bridge these connectors? I do not know the pitch for the LPC link or the JTAG connector or I would not even be asking this question. Thank you and hope you can help.
Any chance we can see a 2x7 version?
Does anyone know where to get a 2x7 version? From anywhere?
For such cables in general, I use the Samtec cable builder Web page, http://www.samtec.com/cable_builder_idc/idc.aspx
I plan on using this to build an audio front panel for my media pc.
I would love to see a 2x3 variant of this cable.
Ditto
Does this have .100 inch pitch connectors?
Yes!
This is a very nice cable! Very nice cable! The first time I plugged it up to my STK500, I knew this was the right cable for me. Together we have been through many logic highs and lows, some harder than the others. I would highly recommend this cables to others.
