SparkFun Static Sticker

Are you one of our awesome distributors? Let everyone know with this vinyl window sticker! This vinyl sticker on your storefront will let everyone know there are SparkFun goodies inside. Even if you're not a distributor feel free to throw one on your car, robot or computer monitor for a little extra geek-cred. Just don't come complaining when people start hassling you for breakout boards.

Note: These stickers are made to stick to the inside of a window, so if you use them on the outside of a window, they will appear reversed.

Just wondering, why is this called a static sticker? Is there a dynamic version too?

    • This one is type checked.

The "static sticker": clings to the window without using any adhesives, but with static, much like "window clings" do that are often used for holiday decorating.

The other kind can be referenced dynamically.

You guys should add a white border around the text and flame in a future revision. I'd imagine this being stuck to a tinted window and maybe a few other applications would make it hard to see.

You suggest putting it on a computer monitor (which is already weird because this can probably only stick to smooth surfaces, i.e. just the screen itself on most monitors), but then note that it will be reversed if stuck to the outside of something. Therefore, everyone at SparkFun must have this monitor.

Will these come in an electrostatic version?

  • dsffasdfdsafadsfasdfadsf / about 11 years ago / 1

    will this stick to metal

    • PointyOintment / about 11 years ago / 2

Be aware that unless your metal is transparent, the logo will be backward.

    • I've never had great luck getting vinyl window clings to stick to metal, but this is an actual sticker and should stick relatively well.

image is misleading. You might consider re-inverting that image.
