Have a project that needs some good power? Do you like free power provided by our friend, Mr. Sun? Check out this high quality, high output, fully enclosed solar panel with a nice solid aluminum/plastic frame. The panel is capable of 6 watts in the open sun with a peak power output around 6V at 1025mA.
The termination is equipped with a 3.5mm x 1.1mm barrel plug and 5.5mm x 2.1mm adapter on a 22cm (8in) cable making the panel able to mate directly with many of our development boards. Each panel also features monocrystalline high efficiency cells at 19% with a waterproof urethane coating with hard-board backing. With robust sealing for out door applications this solar panel is incredibly durable and reliable!
Tested output on this panel on Jan 14th around noon. (Winter sunshine) Summer time numbers will be better
A V Load
1.00 - 1.10 - 1 ohm load
1.02 - 2.20 - 2 ohm load
1.05 - 4.15 - 4 ohm load
0.85 - 6.43 - 8 ohm load
0.45 - 7.06 - 16 ohm load
Expect 900mA maximum from this panel.
If it requires power, you need to know how much, what all the pins do, and how to hook it up. You may need to reference datasheets, schematics, and know the ins and outs of electronics.
Skill Level: Noob - You don't need to reference a datasheet, but you will need to know basic power requirements.

Gone through a lot of solar panels either because they couldn't hold up to rain, sleet, Texas heat or they were just underpowered. But this one has held up very well so far!
First panel died after 1.5 years. If I slightly twist the frame, it starts working. Just ordered my second replacement panel. I did not have any bubbles on the front like other panels.
What gauge/OD of wire does this ship with?
This may make 6 watts in sunlight but it makes -0.001 watts in bright indoor light. I have two in a window on a Sunny Buddy and with nothing plugged in, the LiPo battery drains down. 😬
