Replacement: None. This part has been discontinued but have a look at the rest of our proximity sensors. This page is for reference only.
This is the small transducer element found on the fantastically easy to use sensors from Maxbotix. You can use this transducer for various embedded applications where ultrasonic waves are needed (a solid-state anemometer for example).

How can we connect 300 KHz transceiver to Arduino. please help
whats the pin out can u upload more pictures to show that would be very helpful
how far can it sense in feet im hoping about 5-10ft?
and what would i use to boost the sensor? if needed to i wanna save money and buy just the sensor not with the board under it like the break out board. sorry im new to this.
I was pretty surprised at the sensitivity of this transducer.
You can transmit and receive from the same module. Check out the following link for a simple sonic ranger project featuring this transducer...

Do you what the angle of the sound cone is. For example If a second transducer is 1m in front and I begin to move it side ways, at what distance will it stop picking up the first transducer?
Does this device allow me to both send and receive an ultrasonic wave or does it just produce the sound?
What device would I need to get in order to just receive an ultrasonic wave if this doesn't do it?

Long story short - its a two-way transducer.
This is basically a stripped down version of the other maxbotix boards. It is only the transducer. Therefore, with the correct supporting circuitry (see the datasheets on other maxbotix sensors for examples) it should be able to act as the other send-receive-measure sensors. Hope that helps.
