This is a bread board friendly breakout board for the MiniDIN-6 connector. Board brings out all 6 pins to a 0.1" spaced connector. Use this breakout for your next PS2 keyboard or mouse project! Board comes bare.
This skill defines how difficult the soldering is on a particular product. It might be a couple simple solder joints, or require special reflow tools.
Skill Level: Noob - Some basic soldering is required, but it is limited to a just a few pins, basic through-hole soldering, and couple (if any) polarized components. A basic soldering iron is all you should need.

Should i solder break away headers onto this? Please Help i'm new
This works well with the 6-pin mini-DIN sockets Sparkfun sells. However, most mini-DIN sockets I have seen use side tabs for locking into place, and they won't fit without breaking off the tabs or adding notches to the sides of the board. It would be nice if the next revision already had notches to accommodate these tabs.
