Even so, implanting glass into yourself seems like a bad idea. Those look hollow and therefore easily breakable.

My FIRST robotics team uses these for safety/enable switches, pneumatics and any quick actuators. They are great fun, especially with pneumatics. 60 psi can still make a satisfy noise if you apply it right.
