BBQ Pit Monitor *Should operate 30+ hours on a charge, re-charge or externally power using a standard USB cable. This would also be compatible with an external USB battery pack, which would extend the operating time to 130+ hours. This is based on worst case estimates, there is a lot of power savings that can be added to this design if we have time. *2 Thermocouple channels, sampled at 10Hz, better than 1 degF accuracy upto 2400 degF with included Cold Junction Compensation. Supports up to 8 TC channels, $25/channel for additional TCs *Thermocouples are non-food grade SS, about 7 3/4" long probes with 5 foot cables, we can use standard extension cables if needed. *Logs to micro SD card (up to 32GB), 10 channels @ 10Hz is about 100MB per day for recording in CSV format, about 15MB per day in binary format *Realtime clock module is included to timestamp data with date and time of day. Without it, timestamps will be relative (milliseconds since start-up) *Size: Completed device would comfortably fit inside of a small hard drive enclosure *If you need a live read out, you can connect a laptop over USB or we can add bluetooth or an LCD screen for about $20 *Still need to add: Magnetic Lid switch, SD card and enclosure
