Hello everyone! Welcome back to another Friday Product Post here at SparkFun Electronics. This week, we spend some extra time to focus on three of some of our favorite new products from a few of our friends in the industry. We start the week with another new Digi XBee® RR module for you, a new GNSS antenna from u-blox, and finally a new No-Tack Flux syringe from Chip Quick. Let's jump in and taker a closer look at each of this week's new products!
XBee RR 802.15.4 RF Modules are embedded solutions providing wireless end-point connectivity to devices. These devices use the IEEE 802.15.4 networking protocol for fast point-to-multipoint or peer-to-peer networking. They are designed for high-throughput applications requiring low latency and predictable communication timing. The XBee RR 802.15.4 RF Module supports the needs of low-cost, low-power wireless sensor networks. This variation of the RR module is fitted with a PCB Antenna.
The u-blox ANN-MB5 multi-band (L1/L5/E5a/B2a/NavIC) active GNSS antenna is designed for the new generation of multi-frequency, multi-constellation standard precision GNSS technology, which can achieve the most accurate, reliable, and robust positioning even in challenging environments. ANN-MB5’s compact design, excellent price-to-performance ratio, and easy mounting features ensure a fast, easy, and reliable multi-band antenna solution for mass adoption. ANN-MB5 is a perfect match to the u-blox L1/L5 multi-band meter-level GNSS technology (e.g., F10 standard precision platform).
Do you need help soldering a difficult project, reworking a botched pin or just making your life easier? This 5cc no-clean flux syringe from Chip Quik® is great for all of your solder, desolder, rework and reflow purposes! For those of you unfamiliar, flux is a handy substance that prevents beading of the solder and helps the solder flow cleanly onto the parts you are soldering. This is a must-have tool for any hobbyist's workbench.
That's it for this week. As always, we can't wait to see what you make! Shoot us a tweet @sparkfun, or let us know on Instagram, Facebook or LinkedIn. Please be safe out there, be kind to one another! We'll be back with more new products next week so make sure to check back then. Happy hacking!
