The Raspberry Pi AI Kit was released earlier this week, and we also have a new aluminum heat sink!
Hello everyone! Welcome back to another Friday Product Post here at SparkFun Electronics. We have a smaller week this week, with the Raspberry Pi AI Kit that was announced earlier this week and a new aluminum heatsink specifically designed to be used with the M7E Nano Simultaneous RFID Reader! Now, let's take a closer look at both of these new products!
The Raspberry Pi AI Kit bundles an M.2-format Hailo 8L AI accelerator with the Raspberry Pi M.2 HAT+.
The Raspberry Pi AI Kit bundles an M.2-format Hailo 8L AI accelerator with the Raspberry Pi M.2 HAT+ to offer you access to excellent inferencing performance on the Raspberry Pi 5. The AI module is a 13 tera-operations per second (TOPS) neural network inference accelerator built around the Hailo-8L chip. The module uses the M.2 2242 form factor, and comes pre-installed in the M.2 HAT+, to which it connects through an M key edge connector. The M.2 HAT+ communicates between the AI module’s M.2 interface and the Raspberry Pi 5’s PCIe 2.0 interface.
A 23 x 23 x 10 mm self-adhesive heatsink designed to dissipate heat away from your boards and ICs.
This compact 23 x 23 x 10mm aluminum heatsink features self-adhesive backing for easy installation. It efficiently draws heat away from electronic components like circuit boards and integrated circuits (ICs), promoting optimal performance and longevity.
That's it for this week. As always, we can't wait to see what you make! Shoot us a tweet @sparkfun, or let us know on Instagram, Facebook or LinkedIn. Please be safe out there, be kind to one another! We'll be back with more new products next week so make sure to check back then. Happy hacking!
