Raspberry Pi SD Cards
Raspberry Pi's newest microSD cards and a new bumper bottom for the miniature computer are now available!
Hello everyone and welcome back to another Friday Product Post here at SparkFun Electronics! This week, we have more new product's from Raspberry Pi. We start with two new microSD cards, one with 32GB of storage and the other with 64GB. After that (and rounding out the week) we have a new bumper that protects the bottom and edges of a Raspberry Pi 5. Those are our three products for the week, so let's jump in and take a closer look at this week's new products!
SD card quality is a critical factor in determining the overall user experience for a Raspberry Pi single-board computer. These 32GB and 64GB MicroSD cards from Raspberry Pi are the preferred choice for those looking to run and boot an OS off of a MicroSD card with the Pi. Recent cards support higher bus speeds and the command queuing extension, which permits a degree of pipelining of random read operations; together, these close some of the gap between SD card and NVMe SSD performance.
The Raspberry Pi Bumper is a snap-on silicone bumper that protects the bottom and edges of a Raspberry Pi 5, while allowing easy access to the power button and mounting holes.
