We're looking for projects and booths for the NoCo Mini Maker Faire on October 5th.
On October 5th, 2013, Maker Faire is coming to Colorado! SparkFun is proud to announce that we are sponsoring the NoCo (Northern Colorado) Mini Maker Faire in Loveland, Colo. If you've never been to a Maker Faire and you live in the greater Rocky Mountain region, this is a great opportunity to visit or bring your project.
The NoCo Mini Maker Faire won't be on the same scale as the huge Maker Faires in Detroit, San Mateo and NYC, but we are expecting an excellent turnout and it's shaping up to be a great event. If you have a project, whether it's electronics, art, or otherwise (the scope of being a "Maker" is quite inclusive), we'd love to have you join us. Check out the Mini Maker Faire NoCo page to apply as a Maker.
The event will be held at the Rocky Mountain Center for Innovation and Technology and is sure to be a blast. We'll be there hosting a soldering workshop, so make sure to come by and say hello! We'll be posting reminders in the upcoming months. Hope you can join us!
I've always wanted to go to a Maker Faire where prices weren't so high. Since it's less than an hour drive for me, I might actually do it!
You should go to the Taste of Colorado... It's the only convention I'm going to this year.
This sounds like a perfect excuse to plan a trip home. Timing is decent too
I certainly wish I could be there. If only I had a job at Sparkfun, then I'd have reason enough to move to Colorado!
we're not the only employer in the state :-)
Come on!!! I'll work cheap! Will work for electronics components!
Do you know of any employers in or near Kentucky? Specifically Lexington?
Maybe this has something:
I worked for a company called Clark Security Products that had(and I think, still has) a branch in Lexington. Mostly lock hardware(supplier to locksmiths).
I don't think a security line of work would suit me well. I think one of my friend's dad is a employee there.
