TEDx Boulder 2013
This year's local TEDx conference's theme is "Fear and Loathing," and SparkFun is a sponsor!
Each year, Boulder hosts its own incarnation of the TED conferences called TEDx Boulder, featuring visionaries from across the state who come to share their insights on technology, entertainment and design based on a changing theme. Created in the spirit of TED’s mission - “ideas worth spreading” - the TEDx program is designed to give communities, organizations and individuals the opportunity to stimulate dialogue through TED-like experiences at the local level. The theme of this year's TEDx event is "Fear & Loathing," and speakers will share their thoughts on topics such as addiction, volunteering, medical marijuana, green schools, and civil resistance on Saturday, September 21, from 5:00-9:00 p.m. in Macky Auditorium on the CU campus.
SparkFun has been a longtime fan of the TED conferences - video of memorable and relevant talks gets passed around the office regularly, and last year, our own CEO Nate Seidle gave a talk at the 2012 TEDx conference on IP Obesity, which you can check out here:
