New Stuff: Raspberry Pi Block for Edison and a customizable Snappable Protoboard.
Favorited Favorite 1Weeeeeeeeeeeeeeeelcome back! This week we have two new products and a few new videos. So let's jump right in with the first product and video!

SparkFun Blocks for the Intel® Edison are a great way to unlock all the features provided by the miniature 70-pin expansion connector on the Intel Edison. By mixing and matching Blocks, users can custom-tailor their Edison for any application. The Pi Block breaks out and level shifts several GPIO pins from the Intel Edison. It presents them in the same configuration as a Raspberry Pi Model B. Since the Edison offers a large number of GPIO and communication bus pins, these pins can be mapped to the exact same footprint as the Raspberry Pi B’s GPIO header. Let's see a video about the thing I just said!

Sometimes it’s nice to have a protoboard that’s super long and skinny, super small, or just a bunch of holes. The SparkFun Snappable Protoboard is a large PCB crisscrossed with v-scored lines so that you can choose just how long and wide you need your custom protoboard to be. The Snappable Protoboard makes obtaining the perfect sized prototyping area for any given project as straight forward and uncomplicated as possible. Mike the Engineer talks more about how to customize the board, let's watch:
That's it for this week. Of course, as always, we'll be back again next week with even more new products and video. See you then.
I agree the Dremel method is messy and smells bad. This will neaten up some things I'm playing with.
Custom protoboards....... in a SNAP! Sorry :)
I can see it going like bubble wrap!
