As you may have heard, this week we're loading up the SparkFun van with more soldering irons than you can shake a RedStick, at and heading south for SX Create 2016! It's our fourth year teaching at SXSW, and we're bringing a fresh new take on a crowd favorite – the BadgerHack! Check out our video from last year's workshop to get an idea of what to expect.
Join us in the Palmer Events Center from March 11-13 (it's free!) to solder and program your custom badge, check out some special SparkFun projects in action and pick up one of our new RedStick Add-On Kits – only available at our SX Create booth. See you there!
But wait, there's more! If you can't make it to Austin, or you're wondering what to do with your RedStick/BadgerStick now that you have one, we're giving you a chance to take your board to the next level AND win big! All you have to do is build a simple project for less than $100 using your RedStick or BadgerStick and SparkFun parts, create a kit wishlist so others can replicate your project, and send your wishlist, a photo and/or video of your project in action (to prove it works), and a short description to contest@sparkfun.com with the subject "SparkFun SticKits project."
Our top three picks will each win a $200 SparkFun gift card! Entries will be accepted Monday, March 7, through Thursday, March 31, and the three winners will be featured on the SparkFun homepage in early April.
If you need some inspiration, check out our video debuting the RedStick and some simple Add-On Kit projects, as well as a few tutorials that will give you an idea of some of the many fun things you can do with your RedStick or BadgerStick. Now get to it!
