Welcome to the last Friday Product Post of 2016! Thank goodness this year is almost over. We thought 2016 would end up being our new overlord, but lucky for us that isn't to be. We are still catching up from the holidays last weekend and prepping for the looming Inventory Day we have in just a few weeks, but we still have three brand-new products to bring you. So, without further ado, let's dive on in and see what we have this week!
The LIS3DH Breakout is a smart, low-power, three-axis, capacitive micro-machined accelerometer with 12 bits of resolution that you can use to add translation detection to your project. It would be classified as a 3DoF, or 3 Degrees of Freedom. Inertial Measurement Units (or IMUs) can provide additional space location data, such as gyroscopic or magnetometric. The LIS3DH provided on this breakout operates under the same principles but gives a few analog inputs to play with, and it has some built-in movement detection abilities.
This will be a a treat for your ears! The Hamburger Mini Speaker is a 2.2W economical speaker option for any project needing stand-alone sound. The Hamburger features a built-in lithium polymer battery for portable application, a 3.5mm stereo jack (sorry, iPhone 7 users) and two volume options (quiet and loud) to control how loud your sound needs to be. This speaker really can't be compared to a good pair of JBLs, but for the price point the Hamburger won't break the bank for your next audiophile project!
This is not your basic 7-segment display. The Dual 7-Segment Display features two digits with an RGB LED in every single segment! You will now have a small 7-segment LED in your project with a full-color display! The Dual 7-Segment Display is breadboard friendly and possesses a digit height of 0.56in (14.22mm).
Alright folks, that's it for this year. Let's all hope 2017 is a much brighter year for everyone, especially the people whom many of us looked up to as kids. We have a lot in store for 2017 and can't wait to show everything off! We'll see you back here next year for even more new products. Stay safe this weekend!
Do you really say the acronym DOF as a the word "dof"? Threedof?
And "feefoh"? Are you Germans? An "I" is a long e? It must be the altitude. You have developed a whole new Boulder dialect of engineering terms. First Een First Oot. With an umlaut.
