Hello, everyone, and welcome to another Friday Product Post! This week we are celebrating products that provide you with a great place to get started in the world of electronics, including the vastly requested micro:bit Go Bundle as well as three beginner electronics kits. We might even have a few other products hidden in the post if you look close enough!
The micro:bit Go Bundle provides you with everything you need to get hooked up and powered. This kit includes the micro:bit, a short USB cable, a AAA battery holder and AAA batteries. Also inside the Go Bundle you will find a Quick Start Guide with four unique ideas to get you started with micro:bit! The Go Bundle is a quick and economical way to get started with the micro:bit.
We are also building a full ecosystem around the micro:bit that is now available for preorder. Individual boards and kits are all available! We expect to begin shipping everything out in early July.
This is the classic electronics kit! The 130-in-1 Electronic Playground provides a great starting point into the world of electronics. Bending springs and inserting a jumper wire between the coils is key to creating simple circuits for 130 different experiments in this fun kit! With this kit you will be able to build an AM broadcast station, an electronic organ, strobe lights, logic circuits and much more! The 130-in-1 Electronic Playground is recommended for anyone 12 years of age or older.
Need something for a younger crowd? The Snap Circuits Jr. kit makes learning electronics easy and fun! With this Snap Circuits kit you will be able to build 101 different experiments with 32 individual parts to teach the budding engineer the basics of electronics. Simply follow the in-depth user manual included in the kit to be able to build exciting projects such as a flying saucer, alarms, doorbells and much more!
Whether you need to take the next Snap Circuits step or want to buy the whole kit and caboodle, the full Snap Circuits kit is for you! With 305 different experiments and 61 individual parts, you will be able to build projects that go beyond this kit's younger sibling.
Alright, folks, that's it for this week. As always, we can't wait to see what you make with these parts! Shoot us a tweet @sparkfun, or let us know on Instagram or Facebook. We’d love to see what projects you’ve made!
Make sure to check back with us next week for a product post FULL of new parts! See you then.
My career in electronics started at the age of 5 with a Radio Shack 150-in-one electronics kit--very much like this one. GREAT way to start kids down the right path!
Wow that Electronic Playground brings back memories. I had Heathkit model back around 1968 or so, spring loaded contacts. I learned a lot from that kit, glad you've revived it with a new kit.
That's awesome!
Once we got these kits in the building a lot of our coworkers freaked out when they saw them and asked when they were going to be available for sale so they can get one and relive their childhoods. :D
