The Love to Code Creative Coding Kit from Chibitronics is a fun, friendly and new way to engage with coding using the Chibi Chip microcontroller board. The Creative Coding Kit reinvents the wheel through paper electronics: Craft functional circuits directly into the pages of the included storybook, Love to Code Volume 1, while learning how to bring images to life through code. With Love to Code, everyone can fall in love with coding!

The Love to Code (LTC) system from Chibitronics is designed to enable beginners of all backgrounds and ages to try out paper circuits and programming without the frustration of installing software. If you’ve browsed the web on your laptop, smartphone or tablet, and have used headphones to listen to music, you know everything you need to get started!

The Chibi Chip Microcontroller Board is the heart of the LTC system. You can use the Chibi Chip to bring life to your Chibi Lights LED stickers by making them blink and fade. Add interactivity to your greeting cards and projects by connecting switches and sensors to your Chibi Chip.

The Chibi Scope is the perfect companion to your Chibi Chip Microcontroller Board. This display accessory for the Love to Code Chibitronics line is a small board equipped with an OLED screen designed to help you understand what’s going on inside your Chibi Chip. It packs three essential functions — text, volts and wave — into one compact package. The Chibi Scope connects to your Chibi Chip using the three included alligator clips; wire up +5V, GND and TXT, and you’re ready to go.

If you already have or are interested in some Circuit Stickers from Chibitronics, you may be looking to add a few effects to your LEDs. The LED Effects Add-On Pack provides you with four unique stickers to make your LEDs blink, twinkle and more. Each kit features one twinkle, heartbeat, blink and fade circuit sticker, and adds their respective effect to your paper circuit project. Like the LED stickers, you won't need to worry about any soldering, sewing or coding.

Shapeoko v3

TOL-14620
Retired

This is the Shapeoko v3, a desktop, 3-axis CNC Machine kit that allows you to create 2D and 3D designs out of non-ferrous metals, hardwoods and plastics. The Shapeoko v3 is affordable enough for any shop, and powerful enough to do real work. This is an entry-level CNC machine designed for hobbyists, artists and fabricators!

The Shapeoko v3 is based on a custom aluminum extrusion that serves as both the frame and the motion system. The rest of the frame is 10-gauge steel. With better structural stability in strategic locations and a powder coat on the steel, Carbide 3D has made the finish as durable as possible! All you need to provide is a DeWalt DWP-611 or Makita RT0701C trim router and crafting materials!

Alrighty, folks, that is everything we have for you this week. Make sure to check back next Friday as well for another big product release! As always, we can't wait to see what you make with these products! Shoot us a tweet @sparkfun, or let us know on Instagram or Facebook. We’d love to see what projects you’ve made!

Thanks for stopping by. We'll see you next week with even more fantastic new products!

I did a quick little search to compare the suggested DeWalt and Makita spindle routers. It seems the Makita requires (required?) an adapter because it has a slightly smaller diameter. Is the adapter included? Is it available here, or would someone need to go to Carbide3D?

You may want to verify if the adapter is needed and add a note to the product page to avoid ugly surprises for the customers.

    • There is an adapter ring to fit Makita RT0701C router. That was one of the new features Carbide added for Summer 2016.

You can find it mentioned in the "Features" section on the product page already! :)

      Thanks for checking!

Ah... I looked through the "Includes" tab, but not the "Features" tab. Sorry for the concern.
