This week we have completely reworked our popular tool kits with fresh new additions to meet today's workbench needs. We also have a 3.5-inch LCD Touchscreen HAT for your Raspberry Pi!
As a reminder: Our 10th annual Autonomous Vehicle Competition is this weekend. Yes, we really have been running AVC for a full decade! From September 7th through the 9th, we will be hosting a fun-filled competition of autonomous cars racing a course by themselves, and various sizes of robots tearing each other apart. The event will be held at the Boulder Fairgrounds in Longmont, but if you can't make it, no worries – we'll be streaming everything on the AVC site as well!
Now let's take a look at our new products!
Everyone loves tool kits, and we've finally updated ours. Whether you need to get started with the SparkFun Beginner Tool Kit, or you have much more experience and are comfortable with the SparkFun Deluxe Tool Kit, you have options to choose from! Each kit includes everything you see in each picture, and a full breakdown of the parts inside each kit can be found on the individual product pages.
The SparkFun Tool Bag Kit is a round-up of our favorite, easy-to-transport tools, all in a handy kit with room for you to add anything else you might need! While these tools might not be enough for more heavy duty projects, they should be just what you need in a pinch.
This LCD Touchscreen HAT fits snugly on top of the Raspberry Pi so as not to compromise the Pi's overall dimensions. The resistive touchscreen provides you with an easy way to display information coming off of the Raspberry Pi and the OS currently running on it.
That's it for this week! Ideally we'd love to see all of you this weekend for AVC X, but we realize that isn't something everyone can do, so we'll see you on the livestream! As always, we can't wait to see what you make! Shoot us a tweet @sparkfun, or let us know on Instagram or Facebook. We’d love to see what projects you’ve made!
We'll be back next week with even more fantastic new products!
Can you find a source for the ZD-915? I really want one but can't find a seller for one in the USA.
Cute reference to being one handed. Hope your wing heals quickly.
Hey, thanks alot!
I've had too many "bent wings" myself. I'll add my best wishes for a quick recovery, too, as I have, uh, "first hand" knowledge of what it's like!
