Hey friends, how's your year going? As we approach the end of what has certainly been one of the most challenging years we've faced (as a species??) in recent memory, we thought it was a good time to check in with our customers, make sure we're meeting your needs, and get some input on what types of products, content and services you'd like to see us focus on.
We've done a survey every couple years, so longtime survey-takers will be pros, and since everyone likes treats, this survey is a treat sandwich: There's an option to win a treat at the beginning, and another treat as a thank you when you get to the end. It's a fairly quick survey - around 10 minutes - and we will only use your email in the drawing to win a $1,000 SparkFun credit! Plus, it's fun!

"certainly been one of the most challenging years we've faced (as a species??)" -- I'll grant that it's been one of the most challenging years since SparkFun was founded, but it's far from one of the most challenging years for our species. While not making light of Covid-19, it could have been far worse: look at the Black Death (Bubonic Plague) from the 14th Century, which is estimated to have killed between 75 million and 200 million people. Or more recently, the "Spanish Flu" epidemic of 1918 which killed an estimated 17 to 50 million people (including two of my great uncles and one of my great aunts). There are many other examples, not to mention, too, the many man-made disasters of war, etc.
At least this time around we have the advantage of having the Internet and wonderful companies like SparkFun!
Sure, clearly there have been worse years in the history of humanity - I was mostly going for levity. I refined my claim, lest anyone think I'm minimizing 5,000 years of other plagues, pandemics, wars and general misery. :)
I'd agree that it was one of the most challenging years in recent memory, though maybe not on par with 2001. I just keep coming back to the old saying that "those who do not study history are doomed to repeat it", and so I have trouble making light of a pandemic -- that's not to say that there are not humorous moments, though!
After I'd typed in my comment, I went and took the survey. The ability to post comments on blogs and product pages is what keeps SparkFun one of my favorite companies (along with the wonderful people, such as yourself, who work there).
Dang. I filled out the survey and missed the ‘treat at the end’. I saw the link to the treat, but I clicked to the next page of the survey thinking I’d see the link again there. I couldn’t go back.
Is there any way I can still receive the ‘treat’?
