One of the best things about this job is that I get to play with new products. If you have a gamer in your family, listen up: The SN30 Pro Bluetooth Gamepad and the Lite Bluetooth Gamepad (which also comes in yellow) from 8BitDo are REALLY cool. And just in time for the giving season!

I was able to pair both the SN30 Pro and the Lite with my Switch, Switch Lite and Windows platforms, and play successfully. I'm loving the Lite Controller for retro games like Zelda and Mario, and my kids love the smaller size for their smaller hands. For the newer games, I prefer the SN30 Pro. It's easier to navigate with the double joysticks, and the SN30 includes a rumble feature, accelerometer and the NFC reader.

Above and beyond Windows and the Switch, the SN30 Pro can pair with Raspberry Pi, Linux, MacOS, Steam and maybe the iOS? I was able to pair with my iPhone, but I think there's some button mapping that may need to happen. I'm really excited to hack these things and see what else I can map and control!

To get you up and running, we're putting together a tutorial on the details of pairing of these controllers with various gaming platforms. The basics of the Switch and Windows are covered, but it's a work in progress and we'll be adding more platforms and processes as we suss them out. Have a look!
