Besides the Thing Plus or Feather footprint (with 18 GPIO pins), the board also includes an SD card slot, 16 MB (128 Mbit) flash memory, a JST single cell battery connector (with a charging circuit and fuel gauge sensor), an addressable WS2812 RGB LED, JTAG PTH pins, four (4-40 screw) mounting holes, and our signature Qwiic connector.

MicroMod Big Display Carrier Board

SPX-17718
Retired

The MicroMod Big Display Carrier Board enables the driving of HDMI signal pairs enabling microcontrollers to display graphics on a large DVI, HDMI monitor, or TV. To be clear, there are very few microcontrollers capable of the complex and high speed waveforms needed to produce HDMI signals. Currently, the RP2040 is the only MicroMod Processor Board that is compatible. That said, hooking a dual core Cortex M0 to a 60" TV just makes us giggle.

SparkFun S.H.O.V.E.L. (without Paracord)

TOL-17721
Retired

We're re-introducing the Semi-Horned Oblong Versatile Eating Ladle, or as we like to call it, the S.H.O.V.E.L. This is not your run-of-the-mill spork (foon), folks! It also has a serrated knife and a bottle opener on a sturdy titanium body. Here's the best part: it's open source. This version removes the paracord to reduce the price of the utensil.

That's it for this week! As always, we can't wait to see what you make! Shoot us a tweet @sparkfun, or let us know on Instagram or Facebook. We’d love to see what projects you’ve made! Please be safe out there, be kind to one another, and we'll see you next week with even more new products!

Never miss a new product!

    Don't forget, Sunday is "Pi Day" -- 3.14 -- also Albert Einstein's b'day.

Glad to see the S.H.O.V.E.L. available without the paracord. I bought 5 of the "original" version a little over two years ago to give as Christmas presents (including one for myself) so my friends and I wouldn't have to use the land-filling plastic sporks at the local "not-the-Mexican-phone-company" that we frequent[ed before the pandemic]. I never attached the paracord to mine, as it would not have done well in the dishwasher.
