SparkFun is heading to a mini-Maker Faire in Aspen on July 10th!
There's going to be a mini Maker Faire coming up somewhere nearby. "Where?," you might ask. Oh yes, I'll tell you where. Someplace warm. A place where the beer flows like wine. I'm talking about a little place called Aspen (pardon the Dumb and Dumber reference - I can't help myself).
Yes, that's right - there is going to be a miniature Maker Faire just in our backyard on July 10th, and we will be there! Once again, we'll be "talking shop" with anyone who is interested as well as running soldering workshops - basically just a miniaturized (go figure) version of our trip to San Mateo! We'll make another post closer to the date with more details as we get them. Hope to see you out there!
Expecting to be there, but I hadn't realized the fountain existed. Definitely have to make a point of seeing it.
SparkFun's classes/events are currently a close second for "how far am I willing to drive to go somewhere?", this will put them (and the Maker Faire in general) solidly in first. I really hate driving. :)
Go over independence Pass it's worth the view by it's self
SparkFun World Tour - a tour I wouldn't mind being a roadie on.
If you go... please go to the computer controlled fountain in the middle of town DIY make from Nick DeWolf circa 1980.

Wow! What a fantastic photograph!
The black Curly hair is me... and if it is at all possible I'd like to see this particular Maker Faire dedicated to the memory of Nick DeWolf who's lab this was in.... and who inspired all of us.
Hear hear! I was lucky enough to know Nick back in the early 80s, he was definitely a maker of the first order.
I hope you guys make it out to the Detroit Maker Faire - my QuadCopter runs on SparkFun brains...
After going to Detroit, can you guys at sparkfun come to europe as-well? My current project runs on sparkfun parts aswell. http://www.spiritofamsterdam.nl/pg-23769-7-33812/pagina/english_summary.html
