We have a new Qwiic 6DoF Breakout, Cryptographic Co-Processor, OBD-II Dev Module and more!
Happy Friday, everyone! This week we have quite a few new products, starting with a new version of our popular 6 Degrees of Freedom Breakout that utilizes the new LSM6DSO. This is a revision of the LSM6DS3 Breakout but now it has Qwiic, and more features! Following that, we have the ATECC608A Cryptographic Co-Processor Breakout graduating from SparkX (make sure to read all the details on this one, there are a lot of boxes to check before using it). And then we wrap up the day with a new OBD-II Development Module and two new wireless antennas. Now, let's jump in and take a closer look!
How much freedom? Six degrees-worth!
The SparkFun LSM6DSO 6 Degrees of Freedom Breakout is an accelerometer and gyroscope sensor with a giant 9kB FIFO buffer and embedded processing interrupt functions. Each LSM6DSO breakout has been designed to be super-flexible and can be configured specifically for many applications. With the LSM6DSO breakout you will be able to detect shocks, tilt, motion, taps, count steps and even read the temperature!
The SparkFun ATECC608A Cryptographic Co-processor Breakout allows you to add strong security to your IoT node, edge device or embedded system. This includes asymmetric authentication, symmetric AES-128 encryption/decryption, and much more. The ATECC608A has limited Arduino support, and the complete datasheet is under NDA with Microchip. Please be sure to read the whole product description before purchasing this board! There are key differences in user accessibility between this board and the ATECC508A Breakout released a little over a year ago.
The A0 is the latest in Macchina's line of OBD-II interfaces. The A0 uses the power of the ESP32 BLE and WiFi module to allow for wireless access to the OBD-II port most modern cars have. The Macchina A0 module plugs directly into the OBD-II port found in most modern cars and receives its power from the port when the ignition power is on.
This small form-factor antenna offers a 2.4 GHz frequency range. These antennas offer adhesive backing that simplifies mounting within the device for a FPC or PCB.
This adhesive, dual band antenna is perfect for situations when you're trying to get a signal out from a transmitter that you've jammed down into an enclosure. Operating on the 2.4 GHz or 5.8 GHz band, it works great for WiFi, Bluetooth or ZigBee.
