Favorited Favorite 0

Hello, everyone! We are back again with more new products to show off and this week, we are providing you with two new power accessories. The SparkFun Buck Regulator Breakout and BabyBuck Regulator Breakout are two miniature boards that sport the AP63203 to provide you with options for power regulation on your next project. Following that, we have a new waterproof temperature sensor that is perfect for submerged sensing scenarios. Now, let's jump in and take a closer look at all of our new products!

Take your pick between the Buck and BabyBuck!

Who doesn't occasionally need power regulation? We certainly do, so we've designed the SparkFun Buck Regulator Breakout to help us with just such a task. Featuring the AP63203 from Diodes Inc, this breakout board takes advantage of a 2A synchronous buck converter that has a wide input voltage range of 3.8V to 32V and fully integrated 125mΩ high-side power MOSFET/68mΩ lowside power MOSFET to provide high-efficiency step-down DC/DC conversion. All of this snuggled up in a low-profile, TSOT26 package that's integrated into a 1in. by 1in. board.

The SparkFun BabyBuck Regulator Breakout is incredibly similar to the board above, but is featured in a much smaller package. Measuring in at only 0.4in by 0.5in, the BabyBuck Regulator sacrifices power option flexibility for space. Don't worry, though, because you can still use the plated through holes for input and output power. With some simple right-angle headers, you'll be up and running in no time.

Temperature Sensor - High Temperature, Waterproof (DS18B20)

Temperature Sensor - High Temperature, Waterproof (DS18B20)

SEN-18367
$11.95

This sealed digital temperature probe lets you precisely measure temperatures in wet environments with a simple 1-Wire interface. The DS18B20 provides 9 to 12-bit (configurable) temperature readings over a 1-Wire interface, so that only one wire (and ground) needs to be connected from a central microprocessor. Power for reading, writing, and performing temperature conversions can be derived from the data line itself with no need for an external power source.

That's it for this week! As always, we can't wait to see what you make! Shoot us a tweet @sparkfun, or let us know on Instagram or Facebook. We’d love to see what projects you’ve made! Please be safe out there, be kind to one another, and we'll see you next week with even more new products!

Never miss a new product!
