Geeky Faye and the SIK: Round Three

The adventure into the SIK continues to its third part!

This last weekend, Allie over at Geeky Faye Art explored and finished the third part of their SparkFun Inventor's Kit (SIK) adventure: sound! We highly recommend that you check out these streams as they happen, but at the same time understand that not everyone has the time to sit down and watch in a relaxing setting. In this video, we're going to cover servos and ultrasonic sensors! Keep in mind that unlike our first announcement to check out the Geeky Faye Art channel, this stream has already aired, but don't worry: there are going to be more opportunities to check out future streams. Read to the bottom to be sure to stay up to date!

This stream (like all of their others) is pretty invaluable to anyone who's been looking for a place to start learning about programming and electronics. We are going to get a bit into what the SIK is, right below, but make sure to check out the Geeky Faye Art YouTube channel if you are looking to learn some new skills in a variety of maker projects!

In case you would like to pick up your own SIK, you can pick one up here! The SparkFun Inventor's Kit (SIK) is a comprehensive all-in-one kit that teaches embedded electronics through fun, project-based circuit building with no soldering and no programming experience necessary. The SIK v4 is organized around five projects that progress in difficulty, building on the skills learned in each of its 16 circuits. Create games, robots, alarms, sensors and more, while learning basic concepts of electricity and programming.
