Hello and happy 2022, everyone! We are back for the New Year with some exciting new products for you to start the year off right. We start 2022 off with a new Automotive Dead Reckoning board that utilizes the ZED-F9K module from u-blox. This is an incredibly handy board to use when you lose connection with your preferred satellite constellation. Following that, we have four, yes four, new power accessories to pick up. From Buck/Boost to DC/DC converters, these powerful parts provide plenty of project plans. Now, let's jump in and take a closer look at all of this week's new products!
The SparkFun ZED-F9K GNSS Breakout is a high precision, sensor fusion geospatial board with equally impressive configuration options and takes advantage of u-blox's Automotive Dead Reckoning (ADR) technology. The ZED-F9K module provides a highly accurate and continuous position by fusing a 3D IMU sensor, wheel ticks, a vehicle dynamics model, correction data, and GNSS measurements.
This is a simple Lithium Ion battery charger for 12.6VDC Li-Ion batteries similar to the one we sell. It comes in a robust metal enclosure (IP68 rated) with a 100,000 hour service life. It features Over-voltage, Over-current, Short Circuit, and Over-temperature safety features.
Meanwhile, this is a simple Lead-acid battery charger for 13.8VDC Lead-acid batteries. It comes in a robust metal enclosure (IP68 rated) with a 100,000 hour service life. It features the same Over-voltage, Over-current, Short Circuit, and Over-temperature safety features as the Lithium Ion battery charger above.
This is an industrial grade DC Buck-Boost converter that inputs 8V to 36V and outputs 12V up to 6A or 72W. With plenty of heatsinking and protection, this DC block is perfect for battery applications that need to power a steady load even while the input is varying.
Last up this week, this is an isolated DC-DC converter that accepts 36-72VDC and outputs 5VDC and 20A. Its high efficient, isolated design makes it perfect for powering low voltage devices off of high power batteries or power sources.
That's it for this week. As always, we can't wait to see what you make. Shoot us a tweet @sparkfun, or let us know on Instagram, Facebook or LinkedIn. Please be safe out there, be kind to one another, and we'll see you next week with even more new products! Happy New Year from everyone here at SparkFun Electronics!
