We have a fun, little product post for you to kick off February (that's right, we are already a month into 2022) and we are going to start the week off with two Basic Kits for your NVIDIA Jetson Nano. These simple kits provide you with a set of essential hookup accessories for your Jetson in a single box to hopefully get you started in a snap. Following that, we have a new PureThermal camera from OpenMV, and we'll be honest, this is probably their most ambitious development/imaging platform that they've developed so far! We wrap the week with a new 3xAA battery holder that was glaringly missing from our product catalog. Let's jump in and take a closer look at all of the new products for the week!
So, you currently have, in your possession, a Jetson Nano™ from NVIDIA® (or you're at least planning on picking one up in the near future). What's next? The SparkFun Jetson Nano Basic Kit, with Battery Pack or Power Supply, provides you with all of the essential parts needed to start new projects with your Jetson Nano.
The OpenMV Cam PureThermal by GetLab is a co-designed collaboration product between GetLab and OpenMV to produce a high-end mixed color and thermal camera for professional applications. The board features a 5MP OV5640 camera module, a FLIR Lepton socket capable of supporting any FLIR Lepton, and the VL53L0X laser range finder to assist in drawing the thermal image on the color image using the right offset/scaling.
This 3xAA battery holder puts a nice finishing touch on your battery powered project. This holder features a removable, sliding cover as well as an ON/OFF switch that can be used to control power to your project. The 6" (~150mm) cable has been terminated with a JST connector.
That's it for this week. As always, we can't wait to see what you make. Shoot us a tweet @sparkfun, or let us know on Instagram, Facebook or LinkedIn. Please be safe out there, be kind to one another, and we'll see you next week with even more new products!
