Alphanumeric Displays Galore
A kit filled with all six colors of our Alphanumeric Displays is now available with a new GPS module and environmental sensor!
Hello, everyone! Welcome back to another Friday Product Post here at SparkFun Electronics. This week we have a new kit that features all six colors of our Alphanumeric Displays as well as a set of Qwiic cable to hook them up. So if you want to easily set up a way to display basic information or if you want to make the time read display in the DeLorean from Back to the Future, this kit has you covered. Also this week, we are releasing a new environmental sensor from Sensirion as well as a 56 channel GPS module. Now, let's jump in and take a closer look at all of this week's new products!
We are quite familiar with seven-segment displays. We see them on our alarm clocks, ovens, and microwaves. By adding more segments to each digit you can display more than just numbers! These fourteen-segment digits allow you to display all sorts of numbers, characters, and symbols. The SparkFun Qwiic Alphanumeric Display Kit comes with six displays, one red, white, green, blue, pink and purple. Also included in this kit are enough Qwiic cables to get up and running as fast as possible. With Qwiic, simply plug it in and go. No soldering, no figuring out which is SDA or SCL, and no voltage regulation or translation required!
The SEN54 sensor module from Sensirion combines the measurement of particulate matter, VOC, humidity, and temperature in a single package. The SEN54 sensors provide fully calibrated outputs with a digital interface, a strong lifetime under daily operation, and a compact form factor. The combination of all measurement parameters in a single device allows users to reduce design and integration efforts, shorten development times and simplify supply chain.
The GP-1818MK is a low-cost - high performance GPS module with built in antenna. It can provide position, velocity, and accurate timing through the standard NMEA-0183 protocol. Being low power and compact in design, the GP-1818MK is perfect for basic tracking and positioning, especially with respect to battery powered systems.
