Welcome back to another (and quite auspicious) Friday Product Post here at SparkFun Electronics! This week we are beyond excited to, finally, announce our new partnership with MikroElektronika! Starting today, we will be adding new products from the MIKROE ecosystem, which will continue over the course this year, to provide full support for each product (that's over 1000 new products, people). And to help incorporate these new boards into our catalog, we've developed two new SparkFun Originals with mikroBUS sockets, allowing them to interact and be used in conjunction with our Qwiic-Connect System, MicroMod, as well as the RP2040 from Raspberry Pi! We have a lot of new terminology that some of you may not be aware of, so we've written up a full page to help explain everything you need to know about the boards. Now, let's cut to the chase and take a closer look at all of this week's new products!

Introducing, MIKROE!

SparkFun MicroMod mikroBUS Carrier Board

Besides the Thing Plus or Feather PTH pin layout, the board also includes a microSD card slot, 16MB (128Mbit) flash memory, a JST single cell battery connector (with a charging circuit and fuel gauge sensor), an addressable WS2812 RGB LED, JTAG PTH pins, four (4-40 screw) mounting holes, our signature Qwiic connectors, and a MikroBUS socket.

MIKROE Arduino UNO Click Shield

DEV-18974
Retired

Now that you've seen what we've made to support the new Click boards™ in our catalog, let's cover a small sample of the boards that come from MikroElektronika, starting with this: The MIKROE Arduino Uno Click shield is an extension for Arduino Uno or any other Arduino-compatible board. It's a simple shield with two mikroBUS™ host sockets, allowing you to connect more than 750 different types of Click boards™ to the Arduino. Quickly add functionalities like GSM, GPS, WiFi, ZigBee, Bluetooth, or thunder detection, proximity and color sensing and so on.

MIKROE GPS Click

GPS-18805
Retired

The MIKROE GPS Click is a compact solution for adding GPS functionality to your device. It carries the u-blox LEA-6S high-performance position engine. The click is designed to run on a 3.3V power supply and communicates with the target MCU through UART or I2C interface.

MIKROE WiFi PLUS Click

WRL-18810
Retired

The MIKROE WiFi PLUS Click is a compact solution for adding WiFi communication to your project. The click features MRF24WB0MA – 2.4GHz, IEEE std. 802.11 - compliant module from Microchip, as well as MCW1001 companion controller with on-board TCP/IP stack and 802.11 connection manager.

MIKROE Compass 4 Click

SEN-18781
Retired

The MIKROE Compass 4 Click is a compact add-on board that can measure the three-axis magnetic field that is perfect for implementation in applications such as electric compasses. This board features AK09915, a complete three-axis magnetic sensor with signal processing from AKM. An I2C or SPI protocol can be used for obtaining the sensor measurement data of the magnetic field. The main feature of the sensor is the capability to measure magnetic fields within the full-scale range of ±4912 μT, with a sensitivity of 0.15 µT per LSB, resolution at 16bits, and a built-in Noise Suppression Filter (NSF), enabling high measurement accuracy for electronic compass applications. This Click board™ is suitable for applications such as an electrical compass, position sensing, general magnetic field measurement, and more.

MIKROE Secure Click

DEV-18848
Retired

The MIKROE Secure Click carries the ATECC508A cryptographic coprocessor with secure hardware-based key storage. The Click is designed to run on either 3.3V or 5V power supply. It communicates with the target microcontroller over I2C interface.

MIKROE microSD Click

COM-18858
Retired

Need more additional memory? We’ve got just the thing for you - MIKROE microSD Click. It features a microSD card slot for microSD cards used as a mass storage media for portable devices. microSD Click is designed to run on 3.3V power supply. The industry standard SPI interface ensures simple communication at high data rates. Use it for reading or storing data like music, text files, videos and more.

MIKROE Accel 15 Click

SEN-18799
Retired

The MIKROE Accel 15 Click is a compact add-on board that contains a longevity acceleration sensor. This board features the BMA490L, a high-performance 16-bit digital triaxial acceleration sensor with extended availability of up to ten years from Bosch Sensortech. It allows selectable full-scale acceleration measurements in ranges of ±2g, ±4g, ±8g, and ±16g in three axes with a configurable host interface that supports both I2C and SPI serial communication and with intelligent on-chip motion-triggered interrupt features.
