Hello everyone and welcome back to the first Product Post in February 2023! It's a short month, but it's also a fun month! This week, we are happy to introduce you to the brand new SparkFun Blues Wireless MicroMod Starter Kit! This kit is an excellent launch point for not only getting started with MicroMod, but also the Blues Wireless Cellular set up (we also made sure to include a Qwiic sensor to start you off with an easy project). Following that, we wanted to announce that MyoWare 2.0 is updated and once again available! We wrap the week with several new antennas, soldering kits, and an economical LED Kit. Now, on to the new products!
The SparkFun Blues Wireless MicroMod Starter Kit is the easiest way to get started with the Notecarrier Cellular Function Board and provides every part needed to get you connected and start prototyping. Also included with the Notecarrier Function Board, you will receive the latest version of the MicroMod MainBoard (V2.1) and STM32 Processor Board (V2.0), as well as a BMA400 Qwiic Triple Axis Accelerometer Breakout to get you started using the kit as fast as possible! Don't worry, we've also included all the required cables and antennas that you'll need, too!
The MyoWare® 2.0 Muscle Sensor is updated and back in stock! This Arduino-compatible, all-in-one electromyography (EMG) sensor from Advancer Technologies allows you to control your electronics! The MyoWare 2.0 Muscle Sensor has been redesigned from the ground up with a new easy-to-use, compact design and upgraded with the latest and greatest chipset improving sensor performance and reliability. The innovative snap connector system eliminates the need to solder connections for the MyoWare 2.0 ecosystem. It's that easy: stick on a few electrodes (not included), read the output voltage and flex some muscles!
Don't worry, the MyoWare 2.0 Muscle Sensor Development Kit and MyoWare 2.0 Muscle Sensor Basic Kit are both available again, as well!
Designed for 810-910 MHz (868MHz center frequency) or 433MHz these antennae are ideal for distant LoRa nodes. These antennae utilize SMA connectors and are 200mm long, each with a gain of 2dBi.
The Day of the Dead only comes around once a year but what if you could celebrate it any day you want? With these black with white silk or white with black silk versions of the Day of the Geek soldering kits you will be able to learn the basics of soldering by being able to assemble a light-up skull badge! Each Day of the Geek Kit takes about 5-10min to assemble with basic soldering materials (not included). Say no to sugar skulls and say yes to solder skulls instead!
The Proto-PIC LED Selection Kit is a handy selection of popular LED's in a handy carrying case, perfect for your lab bench or tool kit. This kit includes multiple colors of both 3mm & 5mm. All are 3V and 20mA.
That's it for this week. As always, we can't wait to see what you make. Shoot us a tweet @sparkfun, or let us know on Instagram, Facebook or LinkedIn. Please be safe out there, be kind to one another! We'll be back with more new products next week so make sure to check back then. Happy hacking!
