The NINA-B306 Thing Plus is here along with two new AI single-board computers from NVIDIA!
Hello all and welcome back to another Friday Product Post here at SparkFun Electronics! This week we are pleased to introduce you to our newest Thing Plus development board (there certainly have been a lot of these recently)! The SparkFun Thing Plus NINA-B306 is a Bluetooth®-compliant development board that is, in our testing, an environmental sensing powerhouse! Also releasing this week are two new Jetson Orin development kits that were announced on Tuesday. Both of these boards are available for pre-order and should hopefully begin shipping in April. Now, let's jump in and take a closer look at this week's new products!
With three on-board environmental sensors, this is a kitchen sink of a development platform!
The SparkFun NINA-B306 Thing Plus offers a unique combination development platform in the Thing Plus form factor featuring the NINA-B306 from u-blox™, the ISM330DHCX 6DoF IMU from STMicroelectronics™ and the BME280 atmospheric sensor from Bosch Sensortec™. The NINA-B306 is a combination Bluetooth® 5 compliant module with an Arm® Cortex®-M4 processor. The NINA-B306 features an integrated PCB antenna removing the need for any external antenna. It includes 1 MB Flash and 250kB RAM.

The SPK6618H is the latest advancement in GNSS antenna technology allowing tri-band (L1/L2/L5) reception for GPS, GLONASS, Galileo, and BeiDou constellations. These 'UFO' antennas have incredible performance for the money. The antenna has a built in ground plane with significant filtering and amplification of both L1, L2, and L5 frequencies for all GPS, GLONASS, Galileo, and BeiDou satellites. Excellent for surveying or fixed antenna applications.
