Back in mid-July (you know it's September now, right) we posted about our trip to the Eyeo Festival. If you didn't read the post, it's a bit long but it does a great job of summing up our experience at this great festival. Recently, videos have started to surface of some of the presentations and we think they are definitely worth a watch so we wanted to share. Unfortunately, they are restricted from embedding, but there are six great videos. Click on the image below to got to the Eyeo Vimeo page.
Check out these presentations by Moritz Stefaner, Aaron Koblin, Ben Fry & Casey Reas, and Nicholas Felton. These videos are very cool and inspiring - give them a watch!
Heh. The more I read about "Processing" or "Wiring" the less I know what they are. Apparently, "Wiring" is used in the Arduino, and here I thought I was programming it in C. I was unaware that there was some other programming language called "Wiring" in there.
What the heck is "Wiring"? You can't google it, you get totally circular references to the Arduino or "Processing"
you can read more about it here if you would like:
Arduino - Explore Labs
Pages 3 and 4 are dedicated to the history of Arduino.
Hope that it helps...
Oh good... I'm not the only one ;-)
I find the integration of art and programming fascinating.
Exactly a year ago, Ben and Casey talked about the history of Processing and how they were going forward to develop Processing 1.0. Here is the link: http://rhizome.org/editorial/2009/sep/23/interview-with-casey-reas-and-ben-fry/
