Hello everyone and welcome back to another (albeit short) Friday Product Post here at SparkFun Electronics. This week, we only have a single new product with our newest ZED-F9R GPS-RTK Dead Reckoning Breakout that leaves the u.FL connector behind in favor of an SMA connector instead! Following that, we want to make sure that you knew that the Arduino UNO R4 WiFi, announced recently for pre-order, is now shipping! Let's jump in and take a closer look at these new products!
The SparkFun Dead Reckoning Breakout SMA - ZED-F9R is a high-precision, sensor-fusion GPS board with equally impressive configuration options and takes advantage of u-blox's Automotive Dead Reckoning (ADR) technology. The ZED-F9R module provides a highly accurate and continuous position by fusing a 3D IMU sensor, wheel ticks, a vehicle dynamics model, correction data, and GNSS measurements.
The UNO universe expands with UNO R4 WiFi: the same industry-standard form factor at 5V operating voltage, but with the enhanced performance of a RA4M1 32-bit microcontroller by Renesas with ESP32-S3-MINI coprocessor – for increased computational power, memory and speed – as well as Wi-Fi® and Bluetooth® connectivity, a 12 x 8 LED matrix, and a Qwiic connector.
This board is now shipping!
That's it for this week. As always, we can't wait to see what you make. Shoot us a tweet @sparkfun, or let us know on Instagram, Facebook or LinkedIn. Please be safe out there, be kind to one another! We'll be back with more new products next week so make sure to check back then. Happy hacking!
Speaking of Ublox GPS, did you guys abandon Qwiic_Ublox_Gps_Py library - there are multiple pull requests waiting on github, some for 3 years that could fix some bugs/issues.
Hi!
Ah, sorry about that. Our engineer is looking through them and has been updating the Python package. Your pull request was been accepted => https://github.com/sparkfun/Qwiic_Ublox_Gps_Py/commit/973952360467c343b0fa649b363d1099ed8a5351 .
Thank you for contributing. =)
