The SparkFun Inventor's Kit has continued to be one of our most popular products. The SIK (as we call it) is a learning tool designed around the popular Arduino development platform. In the SIK, you go through various educational circuits as you learn all there is to know about the basics of Arduino and beginner embedded electronics.
If you're interested in exploring the SIK, but aren't sure where to start, we have the class for you. On April 21, 2012 from 9 AM to 5 PM we are holding the Introduction to Arduino class. This class is for anyone who has never played around with Arduino before and those who have played around a little bit but aren't entirely sure about how the basics work. You'll put together basic single component electrical circuits, learn about analog and digital, input and output, basic programming concepts, practice very basic Serial communication, and briefly cover basic virtual prototyping.
This class is truly designed with the beginner in mind and serves as a great introduction to the world of physical computing. Sign up today! Hope to see you there!
all these classes and I can't attend any of them:( you guys need to start video classes, Quick! (Upvote if u Agree)
Agreed... Also, MIT has free Electrical Engineering and Computer Science classes if your interested?
After I graduated and started my career, I wasn't doing a lot of things I wanted, so I started watching these OCW videos they put on Youtube as a way to keep my mind fresh. They are worth the watch.
Is this going to be part of the new learn.sparkfun.com?
Is there a time frame of this occurring or a set date?
I guess they're playing around with the new video system this weekend, so maybe sooner than I'd thought.
Hope to die? Stick a needle in your eye?
No lies! I've seen the fancy video stuff. Pretty cool.
I agree!
Can you get robert to make some video classes, he's awesome. :)
I've missed the last four of these due to my crazy work schedule. But I will be at this one, even if it means quitting my job! Looking forward to it! (The class, not quitting my job.)
Learning on my own with the basic inventor's kit is a challenge. This product was suggested by an EE previous student and has great possibilities for my classromm. It would be great to have a video class of the quality of your other support products. I am not anywhere near you to attend a face to face classes. Not to mention, I can learn at my own (possibly slow) pace.
Hello SFE,
Please make a good download able video on this class. It would be great if it had download pdf notes. Also what are the chances on a entry level workshop with the Pic Kit 3 in "C" ???? I have been looking all over for one... As always Thanks
