Replacement:DEV-11258. This coin cell brick has a new revision go check it out! This page is for reference only.
fabrickit is a collection of wearable electronic modules, or “bricks”, that make it easy to construct simple or complex wearable projects. Bricks connect to each other with a flexible, 3-wire conductive fabric ribbon. The fabrickit-bricks-and-ribbon approach streamlines the construction of wearable projects, making them more reliable, attractive and ready-to-wear.
The fabrickit Coin Cell Brick employs a rechargeable coin cell battery to provide 5 volts and up to 50mA of current to your fabrickit project. The battery can be easily recharged without being removed by simply connecting it to any USB port with a micro-USB cable (not included, see below). Use this in conjunction with other fabrickit products, listed below.
Keep in mind that the Coin Cell Brick does not have a power switch. You will want to use the Snap Bricks as power connectors so you can simply 'snap' power on and off.
**Note: **This product is a collaboration with fabrickit. A portion of each sales goes back to them for product support and continued development.
This skill defines how difficult the soldering is on a particular product. It might be a couple simple solder joints, or require special reflow tools.
Skill Level: Noob - Some basic soldering is required, but it is limited to a just a few pins, basic through-hole soldering, and couple (if any) polarized components. A basic soldering iron is all you should need.

If it requires power, you need to know how much, what all the pins do, and how to hook it up. You may need to reference datasheets, schematics, and know the ins and outs of electronics.
Skill Level: Noob - You don't need to reference a datasheet, but you will need to know basic power requirements.
