Replacement: None. We are no longer carrying these triggers in our catalog. This page is for reference only.
These triggers are the same ones found in modern game controllers. They have a 10k potentiometer that gets adjusted by the spring-loaded trigger. It ranges from about 2k - 9k ohm. You get all the pieces for a left and right pair. Keep in mind when putting these together that they are mirror images.
Note: There is now a breakout board available for these.

Can you make the CAD and STL files available? Or link the manufacturer, if this was made out-of-house?
will you ever carry anything like these again? they were awesome.
Replacement?
i feel like spark fun is becoming the best electronics supplyer ever like where else could we buy the triggers for xbox controllers without buying in bulk from china lol.
For $3 no less.
And becoming? Sparkfun is already the best supplier ever! :)
Has anyone found an alternative supplier for this? I would happily accept a trigger mechanism for a different game controller, so long as it has an analog position value.
Are those alps pots?
Is it just the trigger or does it come with the switch
It comes with all the plastic pieces to make the triggers move as well as a potentiometer that can be read to figure out how far the trigger has been pushed.
What is the resistance range you get from these? It looks like the pot gets only a few degrees of rotation for the full range of trigger motion???
Thats what I was thinking too. The description says "2k - 9k ohm" which should be plenty to resolve fairly fine positioning, but I don't know how linear that would be relative to the trigger angle.
Hmm, I'm scheming, I wonder if I could use these as the touch sensor for my little hexapod's legs.
This really is the best supplier. I'm from England and it's usually cheaper to get stuff sent here from Sparkfun. Keep up the good work!
Between these triggers and the thumb joysticks, I sense a sparkfun controller coming! Just make sure to put xbee and bluetooth footprints on there! :)
