Replacement: None at this time. We are currently looking to revise this Tool Kit to include a new digital multimeter (DMM). This page is for reference only.
We picked our very best tools and put together the ultimate kit of the tools we use on a daily basis. Whether you're a beginner looking to get into some serious hardware hacking, or just setting up a second workshop and need the complete kit, this is everything you need!
The latest version of the kit includes our protective SparkFun Saftey Glasses but due to shipping restrictions, liquid flux pens are no longer included.
Note: The soldering iron is only meant for 110VAC input.

This skill defines how difficult the soldering is on a particular product. It might be a couple simple solder joints, or require special reflow tools.
Skill Level: Noob - Some basic soldering is required, but it is limited to a just a few pins, basic through-hole soldering, and couple (if any) polarized components. A basic soldering iron is all you should need.

I was looking for a more advanced kit to replace some of the things I bought as a beginner and I came across this page. Is there any idea when a replacement item might be available? This literally has just about everything I want.
I just ordered this kit, and I was wondering: does this kit still contain the DMM after the issue with Fluke?
The product photo needs to be reshot (or photo-shopped), The straight mosquito hemostat is missing.
I just received this kit in the mail today and it is great! One thing that I wanted to point out is that the soldering iron holder is not the one pictured above, but rather the one pictured on the "50W Variable Temperature Soldering Iron" product page: https://www.sparkfun.com/products/10707
Also as some feedback to our good friends at Sparkfun, the kit was packaged in such a way that the multimeter screen became scratched as it was loose in the box. Most every little tool had some sort of plastic wrapped around it or came in a bag, so I don't understand why the multimeter was loose. Not that big of a deal to me, it is still perfectly usable, just something that might upset someone else down the line should the damage be worse.
Sorry to hear you ran into that problem! The multimeter should come with a plastic sheet covering the screen that you can peel off, so hopefully that clears up the scratch problem. If you do have any troubles with it, please let us know and we can help you out.
